The Finnish Mobile company Nokia is to launch a new device  Nokia Asha 501 running on its older Operating system S40. Nokia has  made some new changes in the old age OS and now ready to  acquire some market place again.
Nokia is considered one if the best mobile company in India. It’s Asha series phones are popular in India. However,  the popular OS Android based device is getting cheaper and available at affordable prices. But no company can beat the lower price market of Nokia.



Finally Nokia gave a re-boost to its existing software platform and Introduced the Nokia Asha 501 with a price of  Rs. 5,199. The device Nokia Asha 501 is a very simple device but it has been given a Smartphone like UI. Due to its low price and built qualities , it is expected to succeed well.

Operating System

Everybody knows how the S40 device looks and works. And Nokia has made some more improvements to it. The Nokia Asha 501 is powered by the new version of the software platform. This new OS is very clean  and flexible to use. The features of this platform can improved with the updates available for it at some regular intervals.

Display and Design

Nokia Asha 501 has got a 3 inch display screen which has a low picture resolution. The screen offers an only 320x240pixel resolution. The body style of this device is similar to the Lumia 520 device. The user can find the Home button below its display. 
The whole body is made of plastic and at this low price you can’t expect it to have the metallic one.

Camera

Nokia Asha 501 has been packed with 3.2MP primary camera on its back. No front facing camera is provided with it.


Connectivity

According to the company , the updated version of Nokia Xpress Browser has been installed in it which can reduce the date by 90%. It means the webpage will load faster and the user can experience the high speed download in it. The device will be available in Single and Dual SIM versions.
Beside this, it is having the 2G and Wi-Fi support. A disappointing thing is that there is no 3G connectivity available on it.

Battery

Nokia is well known for the long battery battery backup. The battery in device is having the 48 days life in standby mode and offers  about 17 hours for talk time.
